The Mt. Tanigawa Botanical Tableware development project was initiated based on the original drawings from the botanical illustrated book commissioned by the town of Minakami, Gunma Prefecture. After about one year from the completion of the original drawings, the Tanigawa-dake Botanical Book No Vessel was completed in collaboration with the Oil Painting Techniques Laboratory of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music.
This botanical illustrated book was completed over a period of about two years by students and graduates of the Oil Painting Techniques Laboratory of Tokyo University of the Arts, with the aim of communicating the natural splendor of Mt.
